Aerobics with a twist (and shimmy, shake, and a CHAIR :)

Thank you Eden!!! Last night was a fun little night of aerobics... strip aerobics! It was so much fun & I'm sore. Who would have thought! Thank you to the ladies that joined us physically and in spirit to enjoy our evening of strip aerobics at Rhythm N Motion studio in Hoover. You should totally check this out if you like aerobics classes, but get a little bored. The instructor, Wendy, was so sweet and walked us through a little routine, then egged us on as we created our own. How fun was that- a cooperative dance routine. Now all of us have a few more tricks we can do with a folding chair... After working up a good sweat, the ladies treated me to some fun little gifts- all perfectly appropriate, of course!! Thank you all who joined us. I love you all!!

Beach Baby, beach baby...

Oh what an experience!! My first wedding shower was this past Saturday and it was such a blast. A huge thank you to all of the Springfield ladies who put so much time and love into it! I loved it all. Never would I have thought I'd see these ladies with good ol' Oscar Meyer's tied around there waists, dangling between their knees, trying to snap that mouse trap... I know, you think that visual is good- wait until I get the pics uploaded! I really appreciate all of you that were able to make it and those that sent their well-wishes. It was all really too much and I love you all!!

Let the Registering Commence

Ok- so nobody told me that registering was actually quite tiring and not nearly as much fun as I would have originally thought. Don't get me wrong, it was kinda cool to get to use the scanny thing and walk around Bed, Bath, and Beyond & Macy's picking out all kinds of stuff for other people to possibly buy for us, but it was LONG and involved LOTS of decision making (for those that know me well, really not my strong suit). I will definitely never look at BB&B the same way again. I guess we should have known when we sat down at the resgistry counter and they checked to see if we had comfy shoes and had eaten a meal recently... But all in all, it wasn't too bad. If the lady at Macy's was reading this, she would want me to say it was "Outstanding," which is apparently the adjective they (the management powers that be) want all couples to use to describe the process. I wouldn't go quite that far.

Well, so we are now registered. Josh really wished we could have registered for drywall to finish the upstairs or for feet of fence for Harper to enjoy his backyard, but he had to settle for a china pattern instead. When looking at our registries, please do us a favor and search for us through www.WeddingChannel.com. The site will make a donation to the charity of our choice (National Casa Association). There is no additional cost to you or to us -- WeddingChannel.com will make the donations as their gift to us. If you go to the site it links you to both registries we created- Macy's & Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Thanks so much for doing this!!!

Our First Bridal Show & Trip to the ER

Well, last Sunday was our first attempt at attending a bridal show. We hit up the event at the Winfrey Hotel at the Galleria. It took some convincing to get Josh to go with me, but I told him there would be food and cake to try... We did our duties of walking around, visiting the vendors, and acting so interested in whatever fabulous products were being offered. In reality, we were really just scoping the booths that would have the best giveaways. :) Can you really blame us? The BIG wedding details are mostly taken care of (still looking for a great band, though) except the HONEYMOON. Still working on this one.

After we were through walking around and pretty proud of ourselves for attending the festivities, Josh decided he didn't feel too well and we needed to find someplace to get his blood pressure checked. Once this was all said and done, we found out he was fine, except for a random spike in his blood pressure. All this thanks to the fabulous men at the Rocky Ridge Fire Station. They recommended we take a trip to the ER that day, but of course, we decided he'd live until the next day. To make a long story short, he didn't feel better the next day, ended up in the ER at St. Vincent's Hospital hooked up to the monitors, to only find out they couldn't find anything wrong.

I told him from now on, he does not have to fake abnormal EKGs to get out of going to wedding activities. Maybe we'll try again on the 25th.

Stay tuned, save the dates will be coming soon. Have a great weekend!

And we're off...

So yes, we're trying out the blog thing. Since there are so many of you that are everywhere, we thought this may be a way to keep everyone in the know about this whole wedding extravaganza. Hopefully you will enjoy.
